The U.S. Campaign for UAUTFaith · Character · Skill · Service
A large student gathering during UAUT educational outreach in Tanzania

The partnership

The founding story is Korean. The institution’s future is Tanzanian.

Korean Christians helped carry a received gospel into Tanzania through mission, education, and long-term giving. This campaign invites additional partners into the work required for UAUT’s next stage.

Why this structure matters

The founding story explains both the achievement and the need.

UAUT exists because Korean missionaries, CTS, CTS International, donors, Tanzanian educators, and local leaders carried distinct parts of a long-term commitment. Their work produced an operating university where students learn, faculty teach, and graduates move into wider fields.

CTS contributes media reach and institutional sponsorship. CTS International contributes field implementation and reporting experience. UAUT is responsible for the educational work itself. The next task is to widen the partner base, strengthen the university's financial foundation, and advance UAUT's long-term capacity as a Tanzanian institution.

01

Gospel-centered media, education, and global mission

CTS Christian Television System

Founded in 1995 through the cooperation of Korean Christian denominations, CTS describes its calling as that of a video missionary. Across broadcasting, digital media, education, and international mission, the gospel remains its standard and the formation of the next generation remains central to its work. UAUT is a focused expression of that long-standing calling in East Africa.
02

Field partnership, implementation, and stewardship

CTS International

Established in 2010, CTS International is an incorporated mission NGO with a Tanzania branch operating since 2014. For UAUT, its role is to coordinate field implementation, documentation, and reporting with the university and mission partners around approved priorities.
03

Education and whole-person formation

United African University of Tanzania

UAUT and UATC are where the mission becomes lived experience: students are formed in faith, equipped with professional and technical skill, and prepared to lead and serve their communities.
